Do You Invest in Yourself?

When I was young, I wished for enough money so I could buy the "right" stuff to fit in — so I could feel “normal”.

But along my spiritual journey, I've come to realize that feeling "normal" is about unearthing my true self -- not about wearing the latest fashion, having a picture-perfect home, flat abs, or driving a cool car.

Instead, I've developed an appreciation for investing in two things that nourish my inner self: experiences and education.

Education to Increase Consciousness

Education comes in many forms. I like learning, but it is not just to acquire information or to seem educated. What I truly love is growing, increasing my consciousness, and pushing out of my comfort zone.

Reading books, attending lectures, listening to podcasts, or taking courses is a good first step, but in order to truly master something new, we must take our learning out into the real world and practice.

Long time readers know I’ve been a huge fan of Carol Cox’s Speaking Your Brand podcast, which I’ve written about here and here.

So, when Carol launched her Thought Leader Academy (TLA), I wanted to join immediately, but I was too nervous to make such a significant investment when I wasn't yet marketing myself as speaker or trainer.

I ruminated on it for more than a year, but finally took a huge leap of faith and invested, not only in my current self, but also in my future self.

How Did I Move from Fear to Courage?

I used the energetic tools I teach to release my fears, unworthiness, doubt and all the usual emotions we feel when we’re scared to try something new or scary. This cleared the way for me to access courage, trust, and even excitement to join the TLA!

Through Carol’s private and group coaching program, I learned how to turn my wide-ranging thoughts, ideas, client stories, and examples into a clear message. Now I’m able to share more powerfully why it’s imperative we learn how to relate to ourselves and each other from our soul level.

Why Am I Sharing This With You?

  1. Investing in your personal growth is worth it! You don’t get to take any “things” with you when you die — just your soul. Developing your inner self is a top priority.

  2. Supported by my TLA experience, I'm ready to grow my business in new directions, and this is one way I'm putting it out into the universe.

For nearly two decades, I’ve been teaching people, both in-person and online, how to reduce stress, improve relationships, increase focus, and deepen their life satisfaction by using simple, yet powerful, energetic tools.

Now I’m ready to take the public stage and help groups and even businesses empower their employees to do the same; now I’m ready to help organizations cultivate mentally healthy and happy employees that are not only good for business, but good for society.

If you know of a business or organization that is looking for an engaging speaker or trainer, I’d love to connect!

In addition, I’m a featured guest on this episode of the Speaking Your Brand podcast, where host Carol Cox and I discuss my experience in the Thought Leader Academy and much more!

Speaking of Connections

One of the TLA modules focused on sales – how to sell your services, not only as a speaker, but in your business. Nikki Rausch of Sales Maven taught us that sales is only icky when it’s extractive, transactional, and especially in a win/lose situation. But when we keep human relationships and compassion as the highest goal, selling becomes an act of service.

Nikki's presentation generates consistent praise from women in the TLA program. However, since it was recorded, I guessed Nikki was unaware of her positive impact on the group, so I reached out to share.

After all, as I've written before, your brand is what people say about you when you're not in the room ☺️

This small act of generosity sparked an invitation to be a guest on Nikki’s Sales Maven podcast, where we dive into the importance of energetic sovereignty in our business sales, passion projects and personal lives.

The Universe Likes to Have Fun!

Here’s the craziest part! Not only do Nikki and I have a bit of a fan girl moment for Carol Cox, mentioned above, but then my podcast interviews with each of them were released the same day! How’s that for cosmic delight?!

When was the last time you invested in your own personal growth and development?

If you are looking to invest in your future self, want to level up your consciousness, or have been feeling stuck and want to push out of your comfort zone, take a look at my Accelerated Intuitive Life Coaching Program.

Or if it’s been a while since you’ve nourished your inner self, perhaps it’s time to schedule a Clairvoyant Reading.

Either way, I hope my recent leap of faith to invest in myself inspires you to evaluate how much time, energy, and money you spend on “things” vs. your inner self.

I’d also love to hear how both the Speaking Your Brand and Sales Maven podcast interviews land for you, so please do let me know. If you’d like to continue to expand the circle of generosity to support three small- and women-owned businesses, please share this Journal and/or the podcast episodes with at least one other person today!

Sharing is an easy, fast way to signal your abundance and generous mindset to the Universe and to open yourself to receive the same from others!

Thank you, in advance, for your time and consideration!
